I had hoped that this week would have a few more Halloween themed books in it, but honestly the only thing that’s scary to me is that I’m buying a D.C. book that isn’t Batman (or Vertigo) related. Good showing this week from Dark Horse with the trade of AXE COP! Bad Guy Earth and Rick Remender’s second to last issue of his second best book, Fear Agent. (Don’t take that as a knock to Remender, it’s just that Uncanny X-Force is so mind-blowing that other books can’t compare.) On the note of #2′s, D.C. is releasing a bunch of books this week that are all numbered 2 with the exception of a new trade of The Long Halloween, which is definitely not a number two.
Image has a few titles of interest this week, including new issues of Chew, Invincible, Walking Dead, and Pilot Season Test. Pilot Season is the annual book where Image takes several books that have been submitted and let’s the readers decide which will become a real book! No purchase necessary to enter, many will enter, one will be canceled after 6 issues…
